Picture hs1
In 1915 Coca-Cola recognized the need to revamp its famous Contour bottle so it launced a design compitition amog glass manufacturers to come up with a design distinctive enough to be recognized in the dark or if it was broken and shattered. Root Glass Company won the competition by designer Earl R. Dean who sketched the design in pencil. After few design modifications by Dean the timeless Contour Coca-Cola bottle was born.
