No Chewing Gum Please!
The reason bubble gum is pink is because when it was invented, pink was the
only dye left at the manufacturers. Ever since pink stuck as the official colour of the
widely chewed gum. Also good to note that the first ever product to have a bar code
scanned was Wrigley's gum in 1974. Gum has obviously come a long way and
deserves some kind of recognition. Here is a collection of arty goodness made
entirely from the humble bubble gum at the Italian museum Pastifciocerrere.Read more »

Melon face
Where else but Japan do we get to see all the things weird and wonderful. Here comes a collection of shaped fruit created and patented to a bunch of Japanese students and are sold for a little more than your average melon (about $100 USD a melon). The idea originated that a aquare melon would fit better in the fridge, the down side to this was that the melons weren't too happy about their new shape so they stopped being sweet. The melons are available on sale for decorative purposes here. More picture of other shaped fruit inside...Read more »

Inspiration: The Art of Van Gogh
Despite the less than moderate life Dutch artist Vincent Van Gogh had. He enjoyed
painting during depression times, he was getting support from his brother. Van Gogh managed to officially sell one painting in his lifetime during an exhibition that displayed
"The Red Vineyard" painting for 400 Francs (equals about $1000 in today's money). That painting and most of his work is valued by the millions today and most importantly is an inspiration to a lot of artists and designers from all walks of life. Pictured is above is the
only art he sold in his lifetime, The Red Vineyard. More of his work inside..Read more »
